We found it in Storm Lake Heights while it was still in the finishing stages, and it was clear right away that this was a different level of quality than anything else we’d looked at in our price range — particularly the interior finishing work.

We have never seen such excellent attention to detail and quality within a home, particularly for the value. We’ve had very few issues with the house, and the ones that came up you handled promptly and professionally — even several years after our home was complete, you were willing to come back and fix a problem at no charge.

We enjoy this home tremendously, and we would certainly recommend you to anyone looking for a custom home or a high-end custom-like home.

We built the Shipman Residence on spec, without a specific buyer lined up, which was actually typical of how we worked in those years — most of the homes we built found their owners partway through construction, usually right around when we got into interior finish selections, and yours was no exception.

We broke ground in September 2004 and finished construction in July 2005. That overlapped almost exactly with wrapping up the North Residence, which was nearing completion right as we were getting started on yours — a busy stretch for us.

Hearing that you came back even a year or more after moving in, and that the follow-through mattered to you as much as the build itself, means a lot. That’s the kind of relationship we try to build with every client, whether the home was designed around them from day one or found them partway through, the way yours did.
