{I first met Todd as a fledgling builder who wanted to be the first builder in a plat I was developing in 2003. To make a long story very short Todd did very good work in my plat Storm Lake Heights which has 60 lots. In the end he was the most successful builder in the plat and built the nicest homes in this plat which is a higher end development in east Snohomish County. I would recommend anybody considering building a custom home consult with Todd before choosing a builder.

{We chose Lockie Homes to handle our extensive remodel in February 2014 after considering a couple other contractors. Todd patiently listened to our objectives and summarized his pricing philosophy. A key reason why we chose Lockie Homes was based on their attention to detail. The company focuses on that attribute and customer satisfaction.
About three days later, Todd presented us with an extensive schedule with an eight week duration. Our bonus room was excluded from the project, enabling us to function quite well as a family during the project.
We replaced hardwood floors downstairs, remodeled the entire kitchen down to the drywall, installed cabinets/bookshelves in the family room, changed carpet in the living room, installed hardwood/carpet for the stairs, installed white doors and trim, hallway carpet, and master carpet, light fixtures, kitchen appliances, and remodeled the children’s bathroom. A new interior paint scheme was selected. Our total project was approximately $105,000.
Todd’s wife Mary was instrumental during the process. As an interior decorator, she helped us select all the light fixtures, carpet, quartz countertops, hardware, etc. Making all these choices can be overwhelming but Mary seamlessly guided us through the process, suggesting alternatives that fit our objectives. Mary took us to the manufacturer of the countertops to show us much larger samples of our initial selections. This helped us tremendously whereby we actually changed course and revised our choices. We really liked the team approach with Todd handling the construction and Mary assisting with the decorating. The two bring forth a very positive experience.
We were able to observe the great relationships that Todd had developed with his sub-contractors. That aspect was a key reason with chose Lockie Homes. Todd kept us informed of any scheduling changes. Another key issue was Todd’s on-site availability. He was present during the process – a comforting tenet of any remodeling effort to the homeowner.
The walk through was seamless with any redo’s handled quickly.
We would recommend this team most heartily.

{My wife and I bought our current home from Lockie Homes. It is our 8th home, 3 of which we’ve built or self-contracted. We have definite ideas of what we desire in a home. This Lockie home is better than any we’ve had. There’s a view and the home is oriented to take advantage of the view, unusual in a “spec” house. The design is such that we have been comfortable in it right from “move-in-day.” Initially, the curb appeal was excellent, and subsequently the interior finish and appointments were even better. Buying a house is an emotional experience; on one hand it’s totally exhilarating and at the same time, it’s incredibly frightening. Building your dream home starts long before a foundation is poured. For my wife and I, the process started when we first created our dream home in our heads. When we finally decided to build, our next step was to find a builder who cared as much about creating our dream home as we did.
We went with Lockie Homes, because president Todd Lockie’s view on quality matched our own and we appreciated his approach of working hand in hand with his clients. Todd walked Tarri and I completely through the process from beginning to end. His hands on approach helped take some of the anxiety and fear out of the process of building a new home. Todd was different from other builders we talked to in that he always treated us like valued customers.
